The Community Resources and Development Division administers funds Salt Lake County receives annually from the federal Social Services Block Grant. The money is used to support social services provided to moderate and low-income residents by local private, non-profit and government agencies.d

Each year, the Division issues a Request for Proposals seeking funding applications. A voluntary citizen review panel reviews the requests and makes recommendations on the allocation of the funds to the County Mayor.
