"Eligible Service Areas"
This map identifies portions of the County that fall within the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement Area. The colored areas on the map include the unincorporated areas and the eleven cities and towns within that area. The white areas on this map are the other five Entitlement Cities that receive their own allocation of CDBG funding. "Eligible Service Areas"
Census Tract Map
This map breaks up the County by Census Tracts and Census Block Groups. The map is colored to indicate the percent of low and moderate income residents that live in each area. CDBG funds that are designed to serve an entire area can only be used in areas that are 51% or more of the Area Median Income. The county has received an "Exception Criteria" that allow funds to be used in areas that have 49.8% or more of the Area Median Income.
This map also identifies the unincorporated areas and the cities and towns with black boundaries. Remember, County CDBG funds cannot be used for activities in Salt Lake City, Sandy, Taylorsville, West Jordan or West Valley City. Census Tract Map
